Mental Health Unit Garden

The main focus of our fundraising efforts in the past few years has been directed towards Katoomba Hospital. The opening in November 2014 of the new garden in the Mental Health Unit was the culmination of more than four years of the combined efforts of the four Upper Mountains Rotary Clubs.

Palliative Care Ward Refurbishment

Pictured right middle, Tracey Mullavey, Manager of the Palliative Care Unit at the Katoomba Hospital, gratefully received a rather large cheque for the sum of $12,423.55 from Anzac Day Golf organiser Eddie McCoy. The proceeds which, combined with grants and other bits and pieces, meant that we have raised over $20,000 for the Hospital and their plans for the refurbishment of the Palliative Care Unit and the purchase of other medical equipment.

Remembrance Garden & Indigenous Healing Garden

Over $10,000 has been raised from the 2015 Anzac Golf Day for the construction of new gardens adjacent to the old entrance to the hospital. At a thank you evening for supporters and sponsors, James Masters (pictured bottom right) from Masters Landscapes by Design, who has generously donated the garden design, outlined his plans for the gardens.
